Unpainted wood miniature bay window in 1:12 scale, with a hipped roof and three window openings. Each opening holds two sashes that slide up and down in the grooved frame, so there are six sashes in all. You assemble the sashes yourself. All 24 sash frame pieces and 6 clear acrylic sheets are included. Back trim is not included.
Paint the whole window before you build the sashes. Keep paint out of the grooves, because paint left in a groove fills it and the sashes will not fit.
To build each sash, insert the bottom piece into the groove (picture 3). Then insert the two side pieces and glue them to the bottom piece (picture 3). Peel the protective film off an acrylic sheet and slide the sheet into the grooved frame (picture 4). Last, insert the top piece and glue it in place so it covers the top edge of the acrylic (picture 5). Repeat for all six sashes.
Install the window into your own wall opening, using the opening size below. The tile backdrop and coin in the photos are for display only and are not included.
